We specialize in the inspection of aerospace composites where Laser Shearography has proved to be a formidable tool in both process control and in routine maintenance inspection.

Using cost effective equipment by Dantec Dynamics, of Ulm, Germany we are able to provide rapid, sensitive on-aircraft as well as initial inspection of a wide range of structures. The equipment is Foreign Object Damage (FOD) safe for on-aircraft use and sealed against dust ingress, while maintaining sensitive image control The Q-800 and the Q-810 systems

The Q-800 freestanding Laser Shearography Camera provides multiple diode illumination for even laser illumination.
The Q-810 vacuum hood is able to give rapid large area scanning of controls surfaces and sandwich panels removing the requirement to remove components just for testing.

Laser Shearography is able to provide unique qualitative information of bond strength as a reaction to an applied stress. The application of stress is directed to interrogate the composite’s weakest vector.
